    About Our Practice

A Network of Clinicians Devoted to Client Centered Care

Our story begins with a shared passion for improving the quality of life for persons in our community impacted by mental health issues. We have devoted ourselves to creating ways to make mental health care more impactful, and also to providing education and inviting conversation around mental wellness.

We believe that good mental health is foundational to relationships, career progress, academic success, and overall quality of life. Coping with mental health issues is difficult; accessing quality, responsive professionals should not be.

At ADAPT the most valued component of the therapeutic process is the therapeutic relationship (research consistently confirms the therapeutic alliance as key to successful client outcomes and satisfaction). Our goal is to provide individually-tailored care plans that are centered on wellness. Each step in the counseling process is made collaboratively, taking into account your thoughts, beliefs, needs, experiences, and goals.

    How is Adapt Unique?

ADAPT is a collaborative network of professional counselors that share in the vision of client-centric wellness and the process of dynamic change.

Perhaps the most significant difference between ADAPT and other counseling agencies is how we value our clients’ time. You will notice that our waiting areas are not crowded, but calm, quiet, comfortable spaces.

Appointments are scheduled with time between clients to allow for privacy and an unrushed experience with your therapist. Your time is valuable; we strive to offer expedient initial appointments and to keep sessions punctual.

The number of clients seen by each therapist is intentionally low, prioritizing individual client experiences rather than attaining a monthly “quota”.

Our core principle is honoring and safeguarding the relationship between client and therapist. This begins with your initial contact. At ADAPT we see a ‘person’, deserving respect and value, not a ‘case’ or a ‘diagnosis’.
