VeAnda Hemphill is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) in the state of Georgia. I have decades of higher education and experience with diverse populations. My totality of expertise includes working with military members, community agencies that serve those in homelessness and substance recovery, and community behavioral health. I have experience working with many individual concerns, transitions, and mental health issues, that include but are not limited to trauma/abuse, homelessness, substance use disorders, anxiety/depression, grief/loss, life transitions, gender identity, and adjustment disorders with an emphasis on women.
As a self-confessed life-long learner, I enjoy communicating with a diverse number of people that are on different journeys. As a former educator, I believe in the individual's strengths and welcome everyone with the highest level of compassion, acceptance, and understanding. My counseling modalities include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused, mindfulness cognitive behavior therapy (MCBT), narrative, and reality. Consequently, my focus is always on the client's needs and the strategies/tools required to facilitate a defined goal.
Welcome to the next chapter of your life that begins with you as the author. I look forward to our partnership that offers a step in walking into an autonomous identity.
